What, When, And Why

When you engage with us, the personal information you provide is voluntary. We collect and use only the minimum amount of information necessary to respond to your questions or offer services. In most cases, the information you provide is limited to personal contact information, such as name, company name, phone number, or email address. This information will not be used for any other purpose. If you would like to unsubscribe from phone and email communications, please contact marketing@hookd.cloud.

Other data, such as common website navigation data, is information that does not directly identify you as an individual but identifies browser type, IP address, type of operating system used, time of day, etc. The Sites may automatically collect this type of non-personal data.

Blog Comments

If you use the comment feature on the Hook'd blog, you should be aware that personally identifiable information you submit in a publicly viewable comment can be read by outside parties. Children's Online Privacy Protection Act

Regarding the collection of personal information from a child under 13 years of age, the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) provides parents the right to control data identifying their child. Our Sites do not specifically market to children under 13 years of age and we do not knowingly collect their information. If we learn we have collected or received their personal information without verification of parental consent, we will delete that information.

Purchase Or Sale Of Business

As a business, Hook’d may choose to buy or sell assets. In these types of transactions (e.g., a sale, merger, liquidation, receivership, or transfer of all or some of Hook’d WiFi's assets), customer information may be included as one of the business assets transferred. In the event that Hook’d intends to transfer information about you as part of the transaction, we will notify you by email or by a prominent notice on the Sites, providing you an opportunity to opt out before information about you becomes subject to a different privacy policy.

Compelled Disclosure

In the unlikely event we are legally required to disclose information you have submitted, we will comply with requests made by authorized law enforcement. Unless legally prohibited from doing so, we will attempt to provide you with notice that a request for your information has been made so that you may object to the disclosure. Hook’d and the servers hosting the Sites are located in the United States and are subject to applicable U.S. state and federal laws. By using the Sites, you consent to the use and disclosure of information in accordance with this privacy policy and U.S. laws.
