Application Software Engineer

Our Application Software Engineer will be committed to building an amazing experience for our users. The applications will power our world-class telecommunications software and our Engineer will share responsibility for our entire platform (e.g., production, QA, and development). Our Engineer will own requirements, capacity analysis, service configuration, monitoring, and troubleshooting, in addition to being responsible for analyzing and resolving network behavior, performance, and application issues.

A Typical Week

• You’ll collaborate with product, design, and other engineers to formulate and implement solutions to various problems.
• You’ll take a leading role in development projects for various client-side and back-end applications and services related to telecommunications.
• You’ll manage systems and services via automation and coding.
• You’ll monitor industry trends, technologies, and standards; then research and recommend new technologies as they emerge.
• You’ll partner closely with our information security team to ensure our systems, services, and data are protected against unauthorized use, disclosure, damage, and loss.

Requirements

• 5+ years of building applications in a mainstream programming language like C++, C#, PHP, and Python
• Strong object-oriented programming and design skills
• Proven history of successfully building applications
• Passion and drive to build sustainable systems that lay the foundation for rapid innovation
• A skilled communicator who communicates clearly, kindly, and frequently
• Self-awareness and a desire to continually improve
• Desire to work on a highly visible product that impacts millions of users
